The Chatham County Democratic Committee, located in Savannah, is one of 159 County Committees and is the primary point of contact between the Democratic Electorate and the Democratic Party and is frequently the first contact for Democratic activists and candidates.

We are the only chartered Committee in Chatham County by the Democratic Party of Georgia; we are composed of 64 elected members, with eight elected members from each District.

We are the primary contact between the Democratic Electorate and the State Democratic Party and often the entry point for Democratic activists and candidates.

Our all-volunteer Committee works to elect State Committee Members, promote Party development, recruit qualified candidates for public office, support Democratic nominees, qualify Democratic candidates for county office, and perform such primary and election functions as are required by law at the County level. In addition to the chartered duties, we engage in activities that best suit the needs of Chatham County, as determined by their officers and membership.
